Description

The factory rear shackle hangers on 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacomas are prone to excessive flexing and twisting, especially when your truck is hauling overland gear, constant-load leaf packs, or high-clearance rear bumpers. Under hard trail use, these thin, stamped factory brackets fatigue over time, causing unstable handling and potential frame damage.

The O2 Fabrication Heavy-Duty Shackle Hanger system replaces these weak factory components with a rigid, frame-strengthening solution. Modular by design, this kit can be run as a standalone hanger upgrade or paired with an optional stiffening crossmember and high-clearance shackles to completely lock in your rear suspension geometry.

Eliminates Frame Twist: Replaces flexible factory stamped brackets with rigid, 1/4" plasma-cut steel to maintain structural integrity under heavy loads and hard wheeling.
Modular Strength Options: Install the base hangers on their own, or add the optional 1.75" x 0.120" DOM tubing cross brace to tie the frame rails together and prevent lateral frame deflection.
Increased Axle Droop: Upgrading to the optional 3.6" HD Shackles with polyurethane bushings delivers smoother leaf spring progression and maximizes articulation for larger shock setups.
Broad Suspension Compatibility: Engineered to integrate seamlessly with factory leaf springs or long-travel aftermarket setups from the top names in the industry.
Corrosion Protection: Finished in a durable black powder coat designed to withstand prolonged exposure to rain, mud, and winter road salt.

- Shock Compatibility: OEM shocks, standard replacement shocks, and smooth-body/bypass shocks up to 12" of travel. Smooth-body/bypass shocks up to 14" of travel are compatible but may require limit straps depending on your leaf and shackle configuration.

- This install requires cutting, grinding, or drilling out the factory chassis rivets to remove the stock hangers before bolting the new kit in place.
