Shipping Policy

We're committed to getting your gear to you as quickly and safely as possible. Please review our shipping policy below.

Order Processing & Shipping Time

The time it takes to process your order depends on the item's size and stock status.

In-Stock Items: We do our best to ship all in-stock items within 2 business days of the order date.

Large or Palletized Freight: Items, similar to and including the following require additional preparation time. Please allow 3–7 business days for processing and handling before shipment.

Shock Assemblies: Due to our shop's assembly workload, these may take up to 7 days to prepare. For the most current lead time, please contact our sales staff.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can monitor your shipment's progress and estimated delivery date.

 


Manufacturer Lead Times

Many of the high-quality, specialty products we sell are built-to-order by the manufacturer, meaning there is an additional wait time before the item is even shipped to us or directly to you.

Manufacturer lead times are estimates and can change without notice. We will always do our best to provide you with the most accurate information available. If your order contains items with manufacturer lead times, the entire order will ship once all items are ready.

Signature Requirement & Delivery

We require a signature upon delivery for all shipments. This protects your valuable products from potential theft if left unattended.

If you are unable to be present for the delivery and wish to waive the signature requirement, you must email info@overlandoutfitters.ca immediately after placing your order. Your email must explicitly state that you "authorize the package to be delivered without a signature and take full responsibility for any loss or damage to the item."


In-Store Pickup

If you choose in-store pickup, we will send you an email notification once your order is ready.

  • Pickup Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm PST.

  • Third-Party Pickup: If someone other than you will be picking up your order, you must email us at info@overlandoutfitters.ca with the name(s) of the authorized person(s).


Canada-Wide Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout.

  • Shipping Cost Adjustments: Due to the wide variation in product size, weight, and Canada's geography, the calculated shipping price may not always be accurate.
    • Overcharged Shipping: If our final shipping cost is substantially lower than what you paid, we will issue a refund for the difference and notify you via email.
    • Undercharged Shipping: In cases where our system calculates a rate that is too low, we may contact you with other shipping options or request additional payment to cover the actual cost.
  • Backup Rate: If you see a shipping option of $300 + tax or a similar high amount, this is often a "backup rate" used when the system cannot calculate proper shipping due to the size or weight of the item(s). This rate may cover the cost of a freight shipment, but we will contact you if the actual freight cost is higher and requires additional payment. Please see the Freight Shipping section below.

International and USA Shipping

We offer shipping to the United States of America on most products.

  • Processing Time: In-stock orders generally ship within 72 hours of the next business day.
  • Special Order Items: Items marked special order are sometimes shipped direct from the manufacturer to the customer. See our manufacturer lead times page for expected timelines.
  • Duties, Taxes, Tariffs, and Brokerage Fees: The customer is responsible for all additional fees incurred during transit, including brokerage charges, duties, and taxes, which are determined by the shipping company and the country of origin/value of the product.
  • Shipping Outside North America: If you are outside of North America and would like to purchase products, please email our sales team at info@overlandoutfitters.ca.

Freight Shipping

For large, heavy, or oversized items that require freight shipping, please reach out to us for a custom quote before placing your order.

  • Quote Request: Please include your Name, Phone Number, Email, and Full mailing address. Specify clearly if the address is residential or commercial.
  • Cost Savings: Freight is generally cheaper when shipped to a commercial location that does not require a liftgate service. A great alternative to save money is to have your order shipped to the nearest freight depot for customer pickup.

Shipping Delays & Damage

Shipping Delays

We strive to provide accurate delivery estimates. However, unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, carrier operational issues) are beyond our control and may occasionally cause transit delays. If your shipment experiences a sudden delay, please contact the responsible shipping company (e.g., Canada Post, FedEx) directly.

Shipping Damage

Overland Outfitters and the Original Parts Manufacturer are not responsible for damages incurred during transit. All products and boxes are thoroughly inspected before leaving our facility.

If your product(s) arrive damaged, you must file a claim directly with the responsible Shipping Company (e.g., Canada Post, FedEx).
